Nestled in the quieter corners of Vinh, Vietnam, my recent stay at Victory Hotel left me with mixed feelings. Upon arrival, I appreciated the spacious room I was upgraded to, which had a delightful mountain view—a little slice of tranquility amidst the hustle. The staff, despite some language barriers, were friendly and accommodating, especially when we needed to change rooms due to our Wi-Fi troubles. While the hotel boasts a nice Asian breakfast, my traveling companion and I found the mattress to be a bit too firm for our liking, reminiscent of my mother’s old wooden bed in Galle. An intriguing blend of comfort and discomfort, wouldn’t you say? the terrace and garden provided a lovely escape to unwind after our explorations. As tea plantation enthusiasts, we always prioritize a restful place to recharge after long days, and while the hotel exuded potential, they still have to address a few cleanliness and maintenance issues. Victory Hotel is a solid choice for those looking for a convenient stay and plenty of local atmosphere, just be flabbergasted by the no-complaints attitude when pointing out cleanliness faux pas.
